Construction Update - July 16, 2026

A reminder to all motorists: the speed limit through the construction zone is 25 M.P.H. Unfortunately, drivers have been observed speeding through the work zone, creating unsafe conditions for construction crews and the public. Work on the 16-inch water main is now complete. Installation of the 8-inch water main on Calistoga Road is underway and is expected to continue through the end of today.

Installation of an 8-inch water main on Calistoga Road is expected to get underway on Monday July 13. his new pipeline will be installed on Calistoga Road starting at Monte Verde Drive and continuing south to Marit Drive, and is anticipated to be completed by July 24. If you're wondering why different-sized pipes are needed, the larger 16-inch water main helps move water throughout the City's water system, while the smaller 8-inch water main delivers water directly to nearby homes and businesses.

Next on the schedule is installation of 2,600 feet of 16” water main pipeline. This is expected to begin on Monday July 6, as crews start work on Calistoga Road near Monte Verde Drive, and work their way south to Marit Drive. The 16” pipeline open-trench installation is anticipated to continue through approximately July 14.

Crews have completed installation of the underground sewer main at the Dupont Drive and Calistoga Road intersection. The detour directing motorists entering and exiting Dupont Drive east to St. Francis Road is expected to remain in place for another day or two as crews finish work in the area.

Crews are currently performing underground sewer pipeline replacement work at the intersection of Dupont Drive and Calistoga Road. During the intersection work, motorists entering and exiting Dupont Drive at Calistoga Road are being detoured east to St. Francis Road. Vehicles traveling through the intersection on Calistoga Road will not be detoured.

Crews will be completing potholing operations along the Calistoga Road corridor by the end of this week. With this initial step nearly finished, crews will transition to underground sewer line work beginning next week.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of June 8. The contractor, Argonaut Constructors, will begin potholing operations along the corridor in preparation for upcoming underground utility work on the sewer and water pipelines.
